2012 INNOVATIONS IN lASER THERAPY CONfERENCE Leaders in laser therapy across the globe will come together in Mississauga, Ontario on June 9, 2012 for a one-day educational symposium titled “Innovations in Laser Therapy.” This interactive conference, hosted by Meditech International Inc., will provide chiropractors with the opportunity to learn how to use laser therapy to grow their current practice volume and to learn about new developments in application to ensure optimal clinical outcomes. DC TO PRESENT ARTIClE AT INTERNATIONAl SCOlIOSIS CONfERENCE Dr. Josh Woggon, in conjunction with The CLEAR Scoliosis Institute, will be presenting his latest research article in a poster format at the 7th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Scoliosis Orthopedic Rehabilitation Techniques (SOSORT) in Milan, Italy, on May 10-12. The CLEAR Scoliosis Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with scoliosis through advanced chiropractic care. SOSORT is a Non-Profit Organization founded to foster the best conservative management strategies for scoliosis, and to promote multidisciplinary teamwork within the field. It is the sponsoring organization of the scientific journal Scoliosis, which is an open-access, peerreviewed publication. The research article reports the outcomes experienced by seven adolescent patients with idiopathic scoliosis who were treated with a comprehensive two-week intensive treatment protocol involving chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and neuromuscular rehabilitation, and their long-term results. “Obviously we are very excited to participate in the SOSORT conference,” states Dr. Josh Woggon, Director of Research for the CLEAR Non- Profit Institute and the primary author of the article. “This is a gathering of all of the scoliosis experts from around the world, combining their talents and advancing research into non-surgical treatment options. The multidisciplinary approach that SOSORT takes is in line with CLEAR’s goal of promoting cooperation amongst chiropractors and orthopedists for the benefit of the scoliosis patient. I believe chiropractic has a great deal to offer both people living with scoliosis and the researchers in the field. This article is only the first step in establishing this value in the peer-reviewed literature and to our colleagues involved in the management of scoliosis.” For more information, visit www.clearinstitute. org or www.sosort2012.org.• CHIROPRACTIC mESSAGE ON DR.
