UPFRONT | News and events PROFESSION CCRF unveils funding for new research projects The Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) announced funding for four new National Re-search Grants. These evi-dence-based research pro-jects will advance the profession’s knowledge base and contribute to improved care for patients living with muscular, skeletal and nerv-ous system pain. The Re-quest for Proposals launched on October 16 – World Spine Day – and sought dynamic research projects with local, national and global impact. Canadian-based researchers with a doctoral degree were invited to apply. Proposals were required to address one or more of the CCRF’s National Research Priori-ties, which include Basic Science, Clinical Science, Health Systems and Popu-lation Health. The four winning submissions were reviewed and recommended by the CCRF’s Research Committee, which will play a role in evaluating the re-sults. “We received a wide range of high-quality pro-posals from across the country,” said Robert Har-ris, Executive Director. “On behalf of the CCRF, its Board of Directors, and the Research Committee, con-gratulations to the following projects and teams.” WFC World Spine Day 2019 Congrats to the Canadian competition winners, including the Canadian Chiropractic Association, (first place in the professional organization category), as well as Université du Québec à Trois Rivières who were “highly commended” in the Educational Institution Category. The World Federation of Chiropractic coordinates World Spine Day as an interprofession-al, collaborative day of action to highlight the importance of good spine care. World Spine Day will once again take place on October 16th, 2020! 598 likes View all comments EVENT WFC ACC education conference: CALL FOR PAPERS Submission deadline for abstracts is May 1, 2020 Authors from all nations are invit-ed to submit abstracts describing their chiropractic educational research and innovations.
