Canadian Chiropractic Convention 2010 Friday, November 12 2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Track One -We Were Right All Along Jeff Spencer, DC Dr. Spencer will speak about how adjusting positively influences genetic expression, biochemistry and behaviour of the cell by restoring body holism. This is the ultimate complementary view to the traditional biomechanical and neural model of what chiropractic adjusting does to create and maintain health. This is the information that makes the concept of interference understandable in terms of the global body, something that’s been very elusive to describe in terms of science, until now. Track Two – Chiropractic: thought leaders? part II Guy Riekeman, DC Dr. Riekeman continues his dialogue about how chiropractic is currently presented in the media, politics or public sector and why none of our chiropractic organizations or colleges are consulted for information; rather, the medical community is asked to provide information and in many cases judgment on the value and effectiveness of our profession and principles of practice? The answer is simple … medicine is the thought leader in health care. Dr. Riekeman presents a thoughtful commentary on how our profession can become a thought leader and in what capacity thus taking control of the direction and branding/public perception of chiropractic.
