UPFRONT | From the editor Tales from the frontlines I am proud to bring you the results of the first annual Canadian Chiropractor Market and Practice Survey. It has been a tedious process going through the numbers and coming up with a way to present the data to our readers in a way that’s interesting and easily digestible. Hence, our very creative media designer came up with great infographics to help readers pore over the data a little easier. The survey provided a snapshot of current trends in chiropractic practice, including demographics, income, market competition and capital spending. The infographics throughout our cover story (page 14) paints a profile of chiropractic in Canada on a national scope. Overall numbers show chiroprac-tic practices are faring relatively well across Canada -with most doctors re-porting an increase in annual revenue. We also drilled down the data a little, comparing trends in different prov-inces, particularly in income reporting. The survey was conducted between March and April 2016, and was sent out to our mailing list. A total of 796 started the survey, of which 632 were considered “qualified” respondents (current, practicing full-time or part-time chiropractors). This is a significant response rate and I am very grateful for all of you who took the time to answer our survey questionnaire. We intend to make this an annual undertaking, each year placing particular focus on one or two aspects of clinical practice and practice development. We hope you continue to support this survey so we can build on the data and get a clearer picture of the chiropractic profession and practice in Canada.
